    Description

    Colts Patent Bullet Mold, .31 Cal, Marked “WAT” On lower right side of Mold section (The letters on the side are "WAT" the senior Union inspector, Willian Anderson Thornton.” (Thank you to the eBay user/historian who notified us of this!)
    Mold is also Marked “S” on top side of Handle
    Bullet mold is iron, for field casting of round ball and conical bullet, .31 cal. These bullet molds were usually issued in connection with private purchase of the Colt pocket revolver in a box along with the mold, various tools and accoutrements. Mold is marked "COLT'S PATENT".
